The Importance of Testing PLR Content Providers Initially

Before you use PLR content that you just bought, do you actually go through all the content and verify the accuracy of the information within the content? Hmm... probably not.

If you researched and checked the accuracy of each and every piece of PLR content that you buy, then you might as well write the content yourself. It would take way to much time to re-research and confirm the information. Part of the reason why people buy PLR content is that it saves time.

Testing the PLR Content Provider Initially
It would make more sense to buy PLR content from PLR content providers that you are confident provides high quality and well researched PLR content consistently.

This way, you don't have to test and verify each and every piece of content. Instead, you assess the PLR content provider.

It would make sense to inspect and verify the quality of content the first time that you buy PLR content from a PLR content provider. Once you're satisfied that the PLR content provider is solid and consistent when it comes to quality, then there's no need to verify every piece of content.

I suspect it's the same if you hired a ghost writer. You'd test them out initially, do extra research, check the content and so forth. If they appear solid, then you'd only do such detailed verification every now and then.

The Purpose of initially testing a PLR Content Provider
If you're using PLR content in your business, then it makes sense that you'd only want to use well written and researched content.

You're the one planning on using the content. If you use poor quality content or content that contains inaccurate information, it's your business that will suffer. If customers complain, they'll complain to you, not the PLR content provider. It will be your image that's damaged... it'll be your readers will stop reading your site or ebook or whatever.

That's why it's important to buy PLR content from PLR content providers that you are confident in. Remember why you're looking for high quality PLR content providers and testing their content initially.

The purpose of testing the content initially, is so that you have an idea of the level of quality of content to expect from that provider. So that the next time you buy from that provider, you know what to expect. If you're confident the provider is a good one, you'd be confident in using content from that provider, without having to do detailed verifying of the content.

Since PLR content providers want repeat business, it's highly likely that quality of their content will be consistent. If PLR content providers use the same writers to write all their content or have quality checks in place, then you can expect a consistent level of quality.

Verifying the Information
Although it seems like I'm making a big deal out of researching and verifying information... the level and depth of the "researching and verifying" will depend on the niche, the topic, how much you know and the information.

So, sometimes you could verify the information just be reading it and sometimes the information may make a statement that's actually worth confirming.

Unfortunately, the majority of PLR content doesn't include a list of sources used. The only PLR content provider that I have seen that actually references it's sources used in researching the content, is PLR Health Wizard.

On a side note, wouldn't it be cool if more PLR content providers referenced it's sources used in researching it's PLR content? It's a rhetorical question but I'll answer it anyway. Yes. It would be very cool.

So, if you did plan on checking the information, unless references were included (which is unlikely) you'd have so spend time verifying by doing some research. How do you research the information? Well, that's completely up to you.
